How to get from Paros to Antiparos

The car ferry from Pounta (southwest coast of Paros) to Antiparos runs every 30 minutes in summer from early morning until midnight. The crossing takes just 7 minutes. You can walk on (no reservation needed) or take a car/scooter.

There's also a passenger-only boat from Parikia to Antiparos Town that runs a few times daily in summer (about 20 minutes, €7). This is a good option if you're already in Parikia and want to go directly to the town without Pounta.

Getting to Pounta from your hotel

Pounta is about 7 km south of Parikia and 20 km from Naoussa. If you don't have a rental car, your best options are:

  • Private transfer from your hotel directly to Pounta ferry (fastest, most convenient)
  • Bus from Parikia to Pounta (runs in summer, limited schedule)
  • Taxi (if available — not guaranteed at early hours)

What to do in Antiparos

The Antiparos Cave

The most famous attraction on Antiparos is its cave — one of the oldest known caves in Greece, with stalactites dating back millions of years. It's located about 8 km south of Antiparos Town. You can reach it by local bus or rent a scooter on Antiparos. The cave involves a descent of about 400 steps — comfortable shoes are essential.

Antiparos Town

A charming, pedestrian-friendly village with a Venetian castle (Kastro), boutique shops, cafés and tavernas. Much quieter than Naoussa or Parikia — perfect for a relaxed stroll.

Beaches

Antiparos has beautiful, uncrowded beaches. Soros Beach (10 min from town) is organised with sunbeds. Psaraliki Beach (closest to town) is great for a quick swim. Agios Georgios and Faneromeni on the south coast are more secluded and scenic.
